
Recognize and Allow

Research shows that when you name an unpleasant emotion you’re feeling, such as “anxiety” or “fear” it decreases in intensity. After naming the experience, we can then allow it to be. This simple 2-step mindfulness practice activates our limbic system, eliminates our resistance to the discomfort, and helps us navigate difficult situations more easily.
